Fox Frame Productions is a Chicago-based production company. We work with brands, agencies, and editorial clients across the Midwest and nationally. Our equipment is the working kit we use on our own shoots (cinema cameras, lenses, lighting, sound, and support), and we rent it out to other crews when our calendar allows.

The rental side of the business exists for a few reasons. The kit is here, maintained, and tested constantly because we use it. When other crews rent from us, they're getting gear that's been on a working set in the last few weeks, not gear that's been sitting on a shelf. That's the standard we hold ourselves to.

Where the gear lives

Our space is in Archer Heights, on Chicago's Southwest Side. Each rental is staged, tested, and checked out in person. We don't ship gear, and we don't run a self-serve booking flow. Every rental is a conversation about what you're shooting, what you actually need, and what we'd recommend pairing with it.

Who we work with

Most of our rental clients are working production companies, agencies, and crews we've shot with directly or who come through trusted referrals. We require a Certificate of Insurance for every rental, no exceptions. Our minimum rental is $250.

The standard

We're not a full-scale rental house. We don't run 24/7 service, and we won't pretend otherwise. What we do offer: a serious kit maintained by working DPs who use it, a real space in Chicago, and a person on the other end of the phone who actually knows the gear inside and out.
