Impact Safety Cable (18in) (5)

An 18 inch Impact safety cable made of braided stainless steel, 1.5 mm thick, with a carabiner closure. It adds a layer of security to lights mounted on overhead pipes, dropped ceilings and grids: run it through the fixture's yoke and around the pipe or grid, then clip the carabiner closed so the light is caught if its primary mount lets go. It is rated for 22 lb. A safety cable is a secondary restraint, not a hanging point, so the fixture should always be carried by its clamp or mount, with the cable there only as backup.
