Matthews Trio C+ Traveler Kit

Three Matthews Century C+ stands with removable Turtle Bases, 40-inch risers, 2.5-inch grip heads, and 40-inch gobo arms, packed in a rolling kit bag with internal dividers. This is the grip support kit we travel with for interview and small commercial setups: flag holders, bounce/negative fill, gobo positioning, mic boom support, client monitor stands. Each stand is rated to 22 lb and rises to 10.5 ft. Matthews invented the folding C-stand in 1974 and the build still shows it, arc-welded legs, stainless steel helicoil inserts, V-shaped brass brakes, knurled baby pin. The Turtle Base detaches from the riser, which lets us pack denser and also makes the base usable as a low-angle platform on its own. Quick context on what the kit IS and ISN'T: C-stands are grip support, they hold flags, bounce, scrims, and small LED panels. They are not camera supports. Loaded kit comes in around 56-58 lb, which puts it over standard checked-bag limits for most airlines (so we drive it when we can). All three stands always travel with sandbags, a C-stand without a sandbag, especially with a fully extended grip arm, is one bump away from a tipping incident.
