Canon 24-105mm f/2.8L IS RF
Hybrid stills/video zoom built like a small cinema lens, de-clicked iris, internal zoom, breathing suppression. The right RF zoom for serious video work.
Friday pickup, Monday return counts as one day.
Description
The RF 24-105mm f/2.8L IS USM Z is Canon's hybrid stills/video flagship zoom, the lens we reach for on the R5C when the project demands a constant f/2.8 across the most-used range and the workflow needs cinema-grade controls. Internal zoom (no barrel extension), de-clicked iris ring with 32 increments per stop, focus breathing suppression via Dual Nano USM (Canon's two-motor floating system), 11-blade rounded aperture for circular bokeh even stopped down, 5.5-stop optical IS, and electronic parfocal capability that motors maintain during zoom. PZ-E2 / PZ-E2B power zoom adapter compatible. We rent it for corporate interview shoots where a single zoom needs to do the work, narrative B-cam coverage on the R5C, doc and event work where an RF f/2.8 zoom earns its rate. 82mm filter, 1,330g, heavier than the f/4 version, but the internal zoom and IS make it the better video lens. RF mount (no EF version).
