Canon 24-105mm f/4L IS RF

The RF 24-105mm f/4L IS is the lighter, more affordable RF workhorse, the lens that goes on the R5C for documentary, run-and-gun, and any setup where weight matters more than the f/2.8 stop. Nano USM AF, 5-stop optical IS, near-parfocal performance through the zoom range, and quiet enough that AF noise isn't picked up on scratch audio. We rent it for projects where the f/4 max aperture is not a constraint (well-lit interiors, day exteriors), and where a lighter, smaller package on a gimbal or shoulder rig is the right call. The barrel extends during zoom, factor that into gimbal balance and matte box clearance. 77mm filter, 700g. Control ring is clicked by default (reprogrammable), so smooth aperture pulls during a take are difficult, the f/2.8 Z is the right answer for that.
