PolarPro Peter McKinnon Signature Edition II variable ND, 2-to-5 stop range, 82mm screw-in. Variable ND filter built around a magnetic-cinema-style ring that rotates smoothly through the stop range; hard stops at min and max prevent overshooting into the X-pattern darkening that ruins frames. The 2-5 stop range is the lighter half of the kit (the 6-9 stop is the matched pair). Why we run PolarPro VNDs: the optical quality at the deepest stops doesn't fall apart, color shift through the rotation is minimal, and the build feels like a piece of equipment rather than a consumable. 82mm thread, fits our largest filter size, with step-up rings adapting smaller lenses up.
