Sigma 45mm f/2.8 DG DN | Contemporary
Pancake-light prime, the lens that doesn't add weight to the kit and earns its place in compact builds.
Friday pickup, Monday return counts as one day.
Description
The 45mm Contemporary is the original lens that inspired the I-Series concept, launched alongside the Sigma fp in 2019 and later folded into the line. 215g, 7-blade aperture (vs 9 on the rest of the I-Series), 55mm filter, and the closest minimum focus in the entire mirrorless prime set (24cm, 1:4 magnification). We rent it as the everyday-carry prime in our Sony E-Mount kit. Part of the Sigma I-Series Contemporary line, compact, all-metal, mirrorless-native primes with manual aperture rings, magnetic metal lens caps, and the kind of build quality that exceeds most Art series glass. Designed around the smaller bodies of mirrorless cameras (LUMIX S1II, Sony E-mount bodies, DJI Ronin 4D's L-Mount adapter) without sacrificing full-frame coverage. Stepping-motor AF is near-silent, focus is by-wire.
