ARRI Amira Package

The Amira is ARRI's documentary and broadcast workhorse, same ALEV III sensor and color science as the Alexa Classic, in a shoulder-mount body designed to be operated by one person with no AC. ProRes 4444 XQ and ProRes 422 HQ internal to CFast 2.0, three internal motorized FSND filters (0.6/1.2/2.1), built-in audio with two XLR inputs and phantom power, and the same LogC3 / Rec.709 monitoring pipeline you'd expect from any Alexa. The reason a DP picks the Amira instead of the Mini LF is shape: the Amira balances on the shoulder out of the box, has a real eyepiece, and is built around the workflow of a one-person camera operator who needs to find the shot, expose it, and pull focus in real time. That's documentary work, broadcast interviews, behind-the-scenes coverage on big shoots, observational verité. The image is the same ARRI image, the same warmth, the same highlight rolloff, the same skin tones, and our package includes the Premium and 4K UHD licenses, so ProRes 4444 XQ and UHD recording are unlocked. We rent it for the project that's about being there with the camera, not building elaborate setups around it.
