Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro
Generation 5 color is film-friendly; BRAW grades cleanly in DaVinci Resolve. The dual native ISO 3200 is the second-best low-light story we own after the Komodo.
Friday pickup, Monday return counts as one day.
Description
The BMPCC 6K Pro is the budget cinema body that punches above its rate, Super 35 6K BRAW, dual native ISO 400/3200, motorized internal IR ND filters at 2/4/6 stops, and a 5-inch 1500-nit HDR tilting touchscreen that's genuinely useful in daylight. Generation 5 color science is the same pipeline that runs on the URSA Mini Pro 12K, and BRAW post-flexibility is real: you can pull ISO and white balance in DaVinci Resolve with no quality loss because the metadata controls the debayer. Active Canon EF mount with electronic iris, focus, and zoom on supported lenses, pair it with our Canon EF L-series glass (16-35 f/4L, 24mm f/1.4L, 50mm f/1.2L, 85mm f/1.4L IS, 100mm Macro, 70-200 f/2.8L IS) for a kit that runs end-to-end. Two things to plan for at checkout: battery life is the headline weakness (45-60 minutes per NP-F570 in ideal conditions), so external power via the 12V Weipu DC input from a V-Mount or D-Tap is mandatory for a real day. And the ergonomics demand a cage, the bare body is awkward enough that we don't rent it without one. HDMI is 1080p only (no 4K out, no SDI), so plan monitoring around that. PL-mount lenses do not work, the flange distance prevents it.
