DJI Ronin 4D 8K

The 8K version of the Ronin 4D adds DJI's X9-8K sensor on the same integrated body, full-frame 44.7MP capture at up to 8K 60p in ProRes RAW, plus a 14-bit Dynamic Range Expansion mode (up to 30fps) that pushes measured dynamic range right up against the Alexa Mini LF in CineD's lab tests. Native DL mount with our DL-to-L-Mount adapter included. Same integrated gimbal, LiDAR AF, internal NDs, and wireless video as the 6K body, what changes is the ceiling on resolution, frame rate (75fps in DCI 8K), and the option of 14-bit DRE for high-end commercial and narrative work. We rent it when the deliverable is going to live in a heavy grade or get reframed in post: features, prestige commercials, music videos that want to crop and stabilize without losing resolution. Worth knowing about the codec landscape: the 8K body supports ProRes RAW and ProRes 422 HQ and H.264, but not ProRes 4444 XQ or 422 LT (the 6K body has those). The 6K body is often the more flexible choice for short-form. For the right project, the 8K is the most capable single-operator cinema rig DJI makes.
