Insta360 X5 8K 360 Action Camera

The X5 is a 360-degree camera. It captures everything around it as a single 8K spherical image, and you decide what the shot is in post, reframing virtual angles, Tiny Planet effects, FlowState stabilization, invisible-selfie-stick perspectives. We rent it for one specific kind of work: shots where you don't know in advance what you'll need to see, or where you want the option to reframe to multiple deliverables (vertical, horizontal, square) from a single take. Examples: a vehicle interior where the action might happen anywhere, a stage performance where the director isn't sure where to cut, an immersive piece where the deliverable is VR. It's not a substitute for a real camera on most shoots, the resolution is 8K spread across 360 degrees, so any single reframed angle is closer to 4K than 8K. It is the right answer for the projects where it's the right answer. What you get back from a shoot: a single .insv file that you reframe in Insta360 Studio or DaVinci Resolve via Insta360's plugin.
